Accreditation is earned through a witness audit, and it assesses two things: consistency, meaning AIUC-1 controls are applied uniformly, and technical capability, meaning AIUC-1 controls are appropriately tested.1

Prioritization
New auditors are accredited gradually, starting with trusted auditors with a demonstrated track record of excellence, and auditors with AI capabilities such as ISO 42001 accreditation.

Witness audit and provisional accreditation
The auditor holds provisional accreditation while completing a witness audit.

Full accreditation
Full accreditation is issued on satisfactory completion of the witness audit.
Accredited AIUC-1 auditors
Only the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company can accredit AIUC-1 auditors. The following organizations have achieved AIUC-1 accreditation.*Provisional accreditation means the auditor is currently undergoing a witness audit. Full accreditation will be issued subject to satisfactory completion of the witness audit.
