# Scope and price

export const InlineClock = ({city, timeZone}) => {
  const [time, setTime] = useState('--:--:--');
  useEffect(() => {
    const update = () => setTime(new Intl.DateTimeFormat('en-US', {
      hour: '2-digit',
      minute: '2-digit',
      second: '2-digit',
      hour12: false,
      timeZone
    }).format(new Date()));
    update();
    const id = setInterval(update, 1000);
    return () => clearInterval(id);
  }, [timeZone]);
  return <div className="aiuc-footer-clock">

};

## Align on scope

Agree what happens, when, what the client receives, and who owns it. Kickoff to certificate takes about ten weeks.

| Phase | Timing | What happens | Deliverable | Owner |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| [Scoping](/auditors/deliver-and-certify/scoping) | Weeks 1 to 2 | Decide which AI systems are certified, what the evals will test, and which AIUC-1 requirements apply | Agent-under-test profile, signed evaluation specification, and Statement of Applicability | Client and AIUC, auditor signs off |
| [Evidence collection](/auditors/deliver-and-certify/evidence-collection) | Weeks 1 to 6 | Gather evidence for every in-scope requirement | Evidence pack on a shared platform, with auditor access | Client, supported by AIUC |
| [Technical evaluations](/auditors/deliver-and-certify/evals) | Weeks 2 to 8 | Test the agent across benign, social engineering, and adversarial scenarios, with a second round only where Round 1 surfaces P0 or P1 findings | Final evaluation results with no open P0 or P1 findings | AIUC, client remediates |
| [Fieldwork](/auditors/deliver-and-certify/fieldwork) | Weeks 8 to 10 | Review the evidence per requirement, walk through it with the client, and issue a verdict per requirement | Verdict per requirement, closing meeting, and target certification date | Auditor |
| [Audit report and certification](/auditors/deliver-and-certify/audit-report-and-certification) | Weeks 10 to 12 | Finalize the report on the AIUC-1 template with a certification recommendation, then issue the certificate | Final audit report and AIUC-1 certificate | Auditor, then AIUC |
| [Maintaining certification](/auditors/deliver-and-certify/maintaining-certification) | Quarterly and annually | Quarterly evals and an annual re-certification audit | Updated evaluation results each quarter, updated report and certificate each year | AIUC and auditor |

<Info>
  Kickoff is signature plus 8 weeks, and the certification period is 12 months.

## Price it

### How pricing works

The AIUC certification fee is driven by the scope of the certification and the complexity of the technical evaluations. Price is calculated based on three factors: agent complexity, capabilities and blast radius, and technical set-up provided. The AIUC fee is calculated and delivered to the client separate from that of the auditor fee. Auditors have the freedom to determine their own fee based on the scope of work.

### What drives the price

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Agent complexity">
    The number of use cases and workflows the agent covers. A support agent handling refunds, billing and account changes needs more evaluations than one answering FAQs.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Capabilities and blast radius">
    What the agent can access and act on. Agents that talk to customers, handle sensitive data or take actions like issuing refunds trigger more controls.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Technical set-up provided">
    How easily AIUC can reach the agent to test it. A programmatic interface and sandbox access with realistic data keep testing fast.

### Identify the agents in scope

The form below gives the AIUC team the ability to properly scope the complexity of the agent and resources required to run technical evaluations to the AIUC-1 quality bar.
